Surface filters made of stainless steel wire mesh in weave types braid, twill weave and linen weave with very low flow resistance.
Wire meshelements are used in hydraulic and lubricating oil filtration as suction filters or coarse filters, for highly viscous media and as safety filters in cooling lubricant filtration. As surface filters, wire cloth elements have a sharp separation boundary and a lower dirt-holding capacity than depth filters.
